The Richard Welsh Agency in Lakewood, a Farmers Insurance agency, is seeking an Insurance Sales Producer. You will engage with prospects and current customers to assess needs and recommend suitable policies, while crossing selling where appropriate.

Training, coaching, and commissions allow for a rewarding career in insurance. Ideal candidates communicate confidently, follow up consistently, and are motivated by sales goals and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license preferred.
• Willing to obtain CA P&C license within 30 days if not licensed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in insurance, sales or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Able to work phone, text, email and in person with customers.
• Goal-oriented with commission-based motivation.

Responsibilities

• Proactively connect with prospective customers via phone, leads, referrals and marketing.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and prospects.
• Assess needs and recommend insurance products and coverage options.
• Prepare quotes and sell auto, home, renters, umbrella, life and more.
• Cross-sell additional products and address coverage gaps.
• Explain policy features, deductibles, discounts, and limits clearly.
• Maintain timely follow-up and accurate CRM records.
• Aim for individual activity, quote, premium and sales goals.
• Participate in training, meetings and sales role-plays.
• Generate referrals and develop new business opportunities.
