Job summary

ALPA Insurance is seeking an Insurance Sales Agent for an in-office role in McKinney, TX. We provide comprehensive training, licensing assistance, and ongoing support to help you grow a rewarding career in sales and customer service.

You will earn hourly pay plus uncapped commissions, with benefits including health coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid time off. Training starts day one, with licensing costs covered by ALPA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Hold a Texas license (Limited Lines or Property & Casualty) highly preferred but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly learn company software.
• Complete continuing education courses paid by ALPA to maintain active license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with insurance needs such as new policies, edits, payments, renewals, and questions.
• Inspect vehicles to determine insurability.
• Develop clientele by networking and marketing to attract new customers.
• Process policy renewals and coordinate with underwriting to complete policies.
• Perform administrative tasks and daily housekeeping.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong sales mentality, desire to succeed, and good organizational/interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus. This is an IN-OFFICE position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with various types of insurance needs such as new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering all questions.
• Inspect vehicles, examining general condition, age, and other characteristics, to decide if it is an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek out new clients, generate lists of prospective clients, and develop clientele by networking and marketing. You and your office manager will develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, as well as handling policy renewals and contacting underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines

Position Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Customer Service/Insurance Sales Experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Hold a valid and current Limited Lines or Property & Casualty License in Texas (highly preferred, but not required)
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing
• Basic Computer knowledge and possess strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal/no supervision and quickly learn any Company/Proprietary software.
• Complete continuing education courses (Paid for by ALPA) as required to maintain active license status with TDI.
