Job summary

AAA Northeast is hiring a Field Insurance Agent in New Jersey. The role includes comprehensive training and licensing, selling personal lines to members who contact us online, by phone, or in-branch, with a structured hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and a rotating Saturday shift.

The position offers sign-on bonuses and opportunities for growth, with training costs covered and extensive support from AAA Northeast.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales or customer service experience required.
• Insurance sales experience preferred.
• Outbound or cold-calling experience strongly preferred.
• Must obtain Personal Lines Insurance License within the first 30 days (training and exam fees covered).
• Life License within 1 year preferred.

Join our dynamic team at AAA Northeast as a Field Insurance Agent, where you'll inspire and motivate clients, achieve results, and enjoy comprehensive training and support in a fast-paced, rewarding environment with excellent earning potential. As a Field Insurance Agent, you will acquire the necessary knowledge to achieve licensing in Personal Lines, with all training and costs covered by AAA Northeast. Once licensed, you will sell personal lines insurance products to members who contact us over the phone, online, and in retail branches.

November 16th, 2026

Training Schedule

Remote Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm for the first 4-6 months

Work Schedule:

Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:15pm with a rotating Saturday shift 9am-1pm

What You Will Do

Insurance Sales Responsibilities:

• Sell insurance products and services, meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Interact with members in person at the branch, over the phone and online
• Compile coverage and rating information; confirm insurer underwriting criteria, coverage, and premium data
• Provide members with product and premium proposals that best fit their needs
• Develop leads and prospects by responding to referrals in a timely manner
• Participate in sales programs and maintain prospect files in the CRM system
• Develop general knowledge of Life products for referrals to licensed agents

Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities

• Develop familiarity with various insurance carrier products, services, technology and processes
• Follow agency processes and procedures in quoting and binding coverage, and processing member payments
• Work with Quality Assurance and Underwriting departments to minimize error and omission exposures
• Gain general knowledge of insurance practices, including the scope of an agent's authority

Member Service Responsibilities

• Provide AAA Five Diamond service to all current and prospective AAA Insurance clients
• Services new Insurance accounts by processing payments, researching underwriting criteria and acting as liaison with Insurance Companies
• Build professional relationships with clients, insurance company representatives, dealerships, real estate agents, etc., to ensure success of AAA Insurance and to broaden community knowledge of AAA Insurance products and services
• Gain knowledge of the AAA Northeast membership and its benefits to be able to offer and sell to clients
