Job summary

Trean Corporation is seeking a Regulatory Product and Filing Specialist to maintain and prepare filings for all lines of business, coordinating with state insurance departments. This role requires meticulous regulatory analysis, documentation, and timely communications.

The position is based in our Wayzata, MN office or Downers Grove, IL office, with occasional travel. You will support underwriting compliance, manage licensing applications, and serve as the primary SIU/Fraud contact while

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to insurance licensing, TPA licensing, rate filings, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rate, rule & form filings for ongoing and new lines of business.
• Communicate with each State’s Department of Insurance regarding regulatory issues.
• Assist in underwriting compliance and filing issues involving rate and coverage form issues.
• Respond to work comp bureau questions and other inquiries.
• Prepare and file NAIC licensing applications for carriers and captives as needed.
• Manage bureau and state department portal access for all agents and employees.
• Manage agent appointments for Benchmark.
• Act as primary SIU/Fraud reporting contact.
• Manage and update policy issuance system with rate and form changes.
• Communicate with internal reporting team regarding filing and reporting requirements.
• Train regulatory staff as needed.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
• Perform other activities, duties and assignments as needed or requested.
• Maintain consistent presence in the office.
