• The role focuses on sophisticated regulatory matters at the intersection of insurance and securities law.
• The Insurance Products Group advises life insurance companies on complex laws and business relationships for the development, registration, administration, and distribution of life and retirement products.
• The Group is recognized as a leading practice for U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulation of insurance contracts, including variable and index-linked annuities and life insurance policies.
• Required experience (2-5 years regulatory compliance) must focus on U.S. federal securities laws (Investment Company Act of 1940, Securities Act of 1933, or Securities Exchange Act of 1934) and/or insurance regulation.
• Responsibilities include direct engagement with clients, regulators, and industry associations.
• Associates receive direct mentorship from Partners and opportunities to develop market-leading expertise in insurance and securities regulation.
• The Insurance Products Group is part of the firm’s broader Insurance group, which is ranked "Band 2" by Chambers USA.
