The North Carolina Department of Insurance is seeking an Insurance Company Examiner I (NS) to monitor the financial solvency of regulated entities and assess compliance with accounting standards. You will use financial analysis to form opinions on each entity's health and propose corrective actions where needed.

This role is in the Special Entities Division and offers a hybrid work arrangement with some remote days.

Qualificações

• Experience with financial statements, ratios and journal entries.
• Ability to document facts, findings, conclusions and recommendations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and independent work style.

Responsabilidades

• Determine if regulated entities comply with laws, regulations and GAAP.
• Render an opinion on the financial health of each entity and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate applications and filings such as licensing, expansions, changes of control, mergers, waiver requests and management agreements.
