Citizens Property Insurance Corporation is seeking an experienced Insurance Product Manager – Lead to drive development and enhancements of property insurance products. You will organize data, develop product recommendations aligned with our strategic goals, and mentor analysts and specialists.

Ideal candidates bring extensive commercial lines experience, with preferred exposure to commercial residential and nonresidential property coverage.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 3 years relevant experience or a combination.
7+ years of professional property insurance experience including 3 years in personal/commercial lines.

Job Summary

Responsible for the development, enhancements and effectiveness of Citizens’s property insurance products. The Product Manager organizes and analyzes data to develop product recommendations in accordance with the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. The Product Manager is also responsible for mentoring product analysts and product specialists. Candidates should bring relevant commercial lines property insurance experience, with experience in commercial residential and/or nonresidential property coverage strongly preferred.

Job Summary

Job Duties

Evaluates results, data, market research, internal and external feedback, and other information to identify product changes and other action plans to improve Citizens’ financial results and ensure Citizens’ products are appropriate to its role in the market. Develops and presents appropriate recommendations to department management.
Conducts and analyzes market research, incorporates other information and reports to Citizens’ management and other internal and external stakeholders.
Leads cross-functional teams to implement product changes and other plans to support Citizens’ strategy. Guides or completes submission and approval of rate, rule and forms filings. Develops and presents appropriate recommendations to department management.
Ensures successful communication of product information and changes to internal and external stakeholders. Provides detailed information required to support and develop communications and training plans. Conducts training sessions and provides ongoing subject matter expertise for internal and external stakeholders.
Provides mentoring, coaching, and guidance to Product Analysts and Product Specialists, as needed. Participates in performance review process.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma | GED
Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 3 years.

AND

7 or more years of professional property insurance experience in product development, contract analysis, claims or property insurance underwriting to include 3 years in personal and/or commercial lines.

Preferred Experience/Education

Familiarity with personal building valuation methods as well as ISO classifications.
In depth knowledge of Florida property insurance market.
In depth experience developing insurance contract language and filing forms.
Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or other insurance designation.
Experience with commercial lines property insurance, particularly commercial residential and/or nonresidential property coverage.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Strong working knowledge of insurance coverages and various policy types including ISO-based policies and endorsements.
Knowledge of personal/commercial property insurance including matters of coverage, claims, underwriting, valuation assessment, legal climate and property insurance laws.
Ability to complete market and claims analysis, develop conclusions and recommend appropriate strategies.
Strong team building and mentoring skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage resources, expectations, and deadlines.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively – written and verbally with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including advanced Excel skills.
Well-developed organizational and meeting management skills.
