Job Details

The Commercial Lines Producer is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining and growing a book of business, and providing consultative risk management solutions to commercial clients. This role involves prospecting, networking, identifying client needs, and delivering tailored insurance programs across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new commercial insurance opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and referrals.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.

Assess and analyze client risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance coverages and solutions.

Prepare and present comprehensive insurance proposals tailored to client business needs.

Negotiate coverage terms, pricing, and conditions with carriers to secure competitive options for clients.

Collaborate with account managers and service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction.

Meet or exceed individual sales goals and contribute to agency growth targets.

Maintain knowledge of industry trends, carrier products, and underwriting guidelines.

Participate in marketing and promotional events to build agency brand awareness.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

Proven success in commercial insurance sales or a related business development role.

In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products (e.g., property, liability, auto, workers' compensation, E&O).

Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.

Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required.

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
