Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients to understand their unique insurance needs.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
- Analyze client risks and recommend appropriate coverage options, including property, liability, workers’ compensation, and specialty lines.
- Prepare and present detailed insurance proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate competitive terms and pricing.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks to provide expert guidance.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of Swenson Insurance Group’s commercial portfolio.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in commercial insurance sales or related fields such as risk management or financial services.
- Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to analyze complex client needs and present solutions effectively.
- Technology: Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and insurance agency management systems.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently while contributing to a team.
