Job summary

Northmarq is seeking two Insurance Interns for its Bloomington, MN headquarters. The role focuses on maintaining and satisfying commercial insurance requirements, renewal evidence, and compliance reviews while gaining insurance and loan servicing knowledge.

Training is provided, with a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. The internship emphasizes analytical thinking, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, including a summer intern project and departmental tasks

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in risk management, insurance, finance, real estate, math, accounting, or related field.
• Prior internship and/or office experience preferred.
• Strong skills in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Customer service orientation with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule workload to meet established deadlines.
• Provide premier customer service to borrowers, agents, and staff.
• Monitor and collect insurance evidence and premium invoices for escrowed loans.
• Review renewal insurance coverage for deficiencies and risk.
• Update insurance information in Servicing system and electronic files.
• Prepare revision requests with Insurance Analysts and Management.
• Monitor reports and the Insurance Team’s Outlook inbox.
• Audit new loan files for proper system setup.
• Participate in Summer Intern Team Project and present to Senior Management.
• Attend mentor, team, and leadership meetings; engage in networking.
• Assist Insurance Team with additional tasks as needed.
