Job summary

Center for Bone & Joint Surgery in Royal Palm Beach, FL seeks an Insurance Follow-up Representative / Medical Collector for a full-time, on-site role. You will review insurance denials, verify eligibility with carriers, coordinate benefits, and attach referrals to charges while working to reduce accounts receivable through proactive follow-up.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in medical billing, strong communication with carriers and patients, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years in medical billing and collections.
• Communicate effectively with insurance carriers and patients.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Experience with Athena billing and collections is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews insurance denials and rejections to determine next steps.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance eligibility.
• Verifies receipt of claims and timeliness of processing.
• Obtains referrals/authorizations for appointments and charges.
• Maintains productivity and accuracy per department standards.
• Assists reducing accounts receivable through follow-up.
