The Insurance Department of the State of Georgia is seeking a Financial Analysis Manager (Insurance Financial Oversight) to lead a team of financial analysts and contract staff, reporting to the Assistant Director of Financial Oversight. This role focuses on supervising day-to-day operations and maintaining sound oversight of insurers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of supervisory experience in the area of assignment.
• Experience at the lower level Financial Examiner Spv (RCP113) or equivalent may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day assignments of Financial Analysts and contract staff.
• Coordinate review changes for risk-bearing entities with regulatory standards.
• Approve prioritization changes for insurance entities with examination staff.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations for insurers and related entities.
• Analyze annual and quarterly insurer financial statements and NAIC filings.
• Engage with regulators to investigate and take action when necessary.
• Prepare and present analysis results to leadership and other stakeholders.
• Support IT initiatives and maintain department records.
