Job summary

American Integrity Insurance, headquartered in the Tampa area, is seeking aStaff Accountant to join our finance team providing timely, accurate accounting support for GAAP reporting and month-end close.

You will prepare journal entries, manage accounts payable, perform reconciliations in Blackline, and support audits. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 1–5 years of staff accounting experience, preferably with an insurance carrier, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college.
• 1–5 years of staff accounting experience; insurance carrier experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Blackline and SAP Concur knowledge advantageous.
• Strong organization and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations as part of general ledger responsibilities.
• Manage accounts payable accurately and on time, including entering invoices, securing approvals, and submitting payment batches for review and approval.
• Daily and monthly transaction matching in Blackline Systems to support general ledger reconciliations.
• Follow internal controls and maintain appropriate supporting documentation.
• Review employee reimbursement submissions in SAP Concur.
• Prepare financial and other reports related to GAAP and STAT filings.
• Prepare assigned audit workpapers and support audit requests.
• Assist and provide backup support for finance and accounting functions as needed.
• Maintain job knowledge through educational and professional development opportunities.
• Complete special projects and other assigned duties.
