Job summary

American Addiction Centers seeks a Denials & Appeals Specialist to investigate denied claims, analyze root causes, and file timely appeals. You will leverage coding knowledge and payer guidelines to recover revenue and reduce write-offs.

You will collaborate with Medical Coding, Billing, and Clinical teams to secure documentation, track statuses, and generate denial-trend insights for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; additional healthcare degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in healthcare billing or denial management.
• CPC or CRCR preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve denied insurance claims and write appeals.
• Research payer guidelines and document denial root causes.
• Collaborate with coding, billing, and clinical teams to gather records.
• Document actions and track appeal statuses in billing systems.
