• One year of medical billing experience in a health care organization.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post insurance payments.
• Apply knowledge of CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes to support accurate processing.
• Review and work insurance claim denials to ensure proper processing.
• Follow up on delinquent insurance payments and reimbursements.
• Review payer policies and EOBs for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist patients with insurance-related questions and explanations of claim processing.
