Job summary

LeoForce in New Orleans, LA is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Insurance Defense team. This role supports attorneys with pleadings, discovery, and trial prep in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of paralegal experience, a paralegal certificate, and strong research, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in Westlaw/LexisNexis and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as paralegal in high-volume insurance defense.
• Paralegal Certificate from ABA-approved program preferred.
• Extensive experience in litigation support and familiarity with litigation process.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assisting attorneys in preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis on insurance defense matters.
• Reviewing and summarizing medical records, depositions, and case-related documents.
• Coordinating and managing timelines for cases to meet deadlines.
• Organizing and maintaining case files, databases, and physical records.
• Assisting with trial preparation and witness coordination.
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts as needed.
• Providing administrative support including scheduling and drafting correspondence.
