Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Proven experience in court hearings and defending depositions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent organization and policyholders in civil litigation involving monetary damages or personal injury cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft necessary documents.
• Develop litigation strategy, manage discovery, take and defend depositions, and argue motions in state and federal courts.
• Provide legal advice to the company, claims department, and policyholders.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of the company and its clients.
• Prepare for and conduct court hearings, trials, and arbitration.
• Collaborate with other departments to align actions with company goals.
