Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Litigation Partner for its client in Uniondale, NY. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an accomplished insurance defense attorney who can independently manage complex matters, mentor junior attorneys, and contribute to the growth of the firm’s Long Island office.

Key duties include managing a full insurance defense caseload, supervising associates, handling all phases of litigation, and appearing in state and local courts across the NYC

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
• 7+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.
• Leadership experience mentoring junior attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of insurance defense matters, including Labor Law/Construction Litigation, Premises Liability, Motor Vehicle, Property Damage, and General Liability claims.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials.
• Supervise and mentor junior litigation associates while providing limited administrative oversight.
• Appear in state and local courts throughout the New York City metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
• Develop litigation strategies and effectively advocate on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management and successful case outcomes.

• Proven ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.

• Strong courtroom presence, legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior attorneys.

• Passion for litigation and client advocacy.
