LITIGATION ATTORNEY

We are seeking an associate for our litigation practice group to handle general liability cases including commercial and umbrella policies involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, HOA, in a fast-paced and highly demanding atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Handling cases from preparing responsive pleadings to trial
• Propounding and responding to discovery
• Medical record review and summarization
• Conducting depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts
• Attend court hearings
• Prepare motions and oppositions
• Prepare case status reports to carriers
• Trial preparation
• Co-counsel at trial

Qualifications

• Prior insurance defense experience preferred but not required
• Driven, self-starter, able to independently manage a caseload
• Strong litigation skills including discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation background
• New admittees encouraged to apply and can be a great fit
• Work well under strict deadlines
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Reliable and able to work a caseload independently under the supervision of a firm partner
• Willing to train the right individual
• Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills required
