Requirements include a J.D., active Florida Bar, and civil litigation/insurance defense experience. Salary $110,000–$180,000 with benefits and growth toward partnership.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
• Civil litigation experience required.
• Insurance defense or related defense litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in medical malpractice, construction defect, professional liability, or general liability is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Defend insurance carriers, businesses, professionals, healthcare providers, and others in complex civil litigation.
• Manage cases from initial evaluation through mediation, settlement, trial, or other resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions and hearings.
• Draft and argue dispositive and substantive motions.
• Develop litigation strategies and coordinate with clients and experts.
