Job summary

GPAC is expanding its Litigation team in San Diego with a General Liability | Insurance Defense Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 15 years of experience in defense litigation, a passion for litigating and trying cases, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload.

The firm offers supportive staff, mentoring from top lawyers, and a collaborative culture with team-building events. Compensation ranges from $130,000 to $230,000 depending on seniority (Associate to Senior Associate),

Qualifications

• 3–15 years' experience in general liability or defense litigation.
• Ability to handle high-volume caseload and go to trial.
• Strong deposition and motion drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafting motions, discovery, pleadings, briefs; taking and defending depositions (EUO experience a plus).
• Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy.
• Prepare and argue motions and oppositions, trial prep; manage high-volume caseload.
• Courtroom and jury trial experience preferred.

A well-established, AV-rated regional Defense firm in CA is seeking to expand their Litigation team in their San Diego office with a 3 to 15 years' experienced Associate/Senior Attorney keen to work on interesting cases, a passion for litigating and going to trial. Areas of practice include: General Liability Defense, Insurance Coverage, Casualty Insurance, Catastrophic Liability Defense, Premises Liability, Commercial Auto, Tank and Trucking Litigation, Construction Defects.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Drafting motions, discovery, pleadings, briefings, taking and defending depositions; EUO experience a plus
• Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy
• Prepare and argue motions and opposition, trial prep, manage high volume case load
• Courtroom and jury trial experience preferred

Compensation structure is an annual base salary DOE $130K-$180K; for Senior Associates 10+ DOE $180K-$230K+. Additional details on benefits and unlimited PTO available.
