The position focuses on a broad, sophisticated defense practice across medical malpractice, professional liability, commercial litigation, and related complex civil matters.

Ideal candidates will have a J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership, with civil litigation and insurance defense experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend insurance carriers, businesses, professionals, healthcare providers, contractors, and other clients in complex civil litigation.
• Manage cases from initial evaluation through mediation, settlement, trial, or other resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle hearings, court appearances, and other litigation proceedings.
• Draft and argue dispositive and substantive motions.
• Develop litigation strategies and evaluate liability, damages, causation, and exposure.
• Work closely with clients, claims professionals, experts, medical consultants, and opposing counsel.
• Maintain strong client communication and effectively manage assigned matters.

Our client is a well-established defense litigation firm in Palm Beach County that is continuing to grow its insurance defense and complex civil litigation practice.

This is not a routine high volume insurance defense practice. The firm handles a broad range of sophisticated insurance and civil defense matters, including:

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 – $180,000 Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
