Job summary

CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT, a well-established law firm, seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3–8 years of litigation experience for our North Jersey office. This full-time role offers a hybrid/flexible work environment, opportunities for growth, and a collaborative team culture.

The ideal candidate will manage complex defense matters, draft persuasive motions, and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to a sophisticated insurance defense practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active New Jersey law license required.
• 3–8 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Experience handling automobile liability matters strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Represent insurers, self-insured entities, and corporate clients in a variety of liability matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive motions, briefs, and reports.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide proactive case management.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
