Job summary

GPAC in Fairfax, VA is seeking an attorney with experience in insurance defense or civil litigation for a hybrid, full-time role. You will manage cases from intake to resolution, draft pleadings and discovery, and handle depositions with support from partners on trial preparation.

The ideal candidate has admission to the Virginia Bar and strong writing, research, and case management skills, and can work independently in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
• Admission to the Virginia Bar
• Strong writing, research, and case management skills
• Ability to handle matters independently

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery
• Take and defend depositions and attend hearings and mediations
• Report to clients and insurance carriers on case status and strategy
• Work closely with partners on trial preparation
