Orionplacement is seeking an experienced attorney to join our full-service litigation team in Cedar Grove, NJ. This on-site role offers meaningful responsibility early in your career, with exposure to complex insurance defense matters, depositions, and client matters.

You will work directly on strategy, collaborate with industry experts, and manage a diverse caseload for insurance carriers. A strong bar admissions background and NY-based experience are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey and New York bar admissions required.
• 1+ year of New York-based insurance defense experience required.
• Experience conducting fact and expert witness depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and case management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and competing priorities in a fast-paced litigation practice.
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse insurance defense caseload representing insurance carriers.
• Develop and execute long-term litigation strategies designed to protect client interests.
• Conduct fact and expert witness depositions.
• Work closely with industry, medical, and technical experts to develop case strategy and strengthen defenses.
• Analyze case issues, assess exposure, and identify practical litigation solutions.
• Draft and review high-quality legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members.
• Manage competing deadlines and maintain organized case files throughout the litigation process.
