Job summary

Kubicki Draper’s Miami office is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1+ years of insurance defense experience to join our growing team. Experience handling automobile first- and third-party defense matters and/or premises liability is highly preferred.

The position focuses on drafting pleadings, conducting hearings and depositions, negotiating settlements, and managing case strategy in a fast-paced litigation environment. Strong writing and client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of insurance defense experience.
• Licensed member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Experience with automobile first- and third-party defense, property matters, and/or premises liability preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

Your Day-to-Day

• Draft, review, and respond to substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Attend and conduct hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
• Negotiate settlements and assist with the development and execution of case strategy
• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and team members
• Manage cases and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving litigation environment
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Office, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiently

• 1+ years of insurance defense experience
• Experience with first- and third-party automobile defense, property matters, and/or premises liability preferred
• Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
• Excellent legal research, writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong commitment to providing exceptional client service
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and interested in long-term professional growth and advancement
