Tillman Insurance is a family-owned independent insurance agency serving the Carolinas since 1926. We’re looking for an Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team and provide outstanding support to our clients. Location: Cheraw, SC • Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for customers by phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Assist clients with questions on auto, home, and business insurance policies.
- Process policy changes, billing inquiries, and claims submissions.
- Maintain accurate client records in our agency management system.
- Support our sales team with quoting, cross-selling, and retention efforts.
- Deliver a friendly, professional experience that makes clients feel valued.
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
- Review audits or policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.

What We’re Looking For
- Prior customer service or office experience (insurance experience is a plus but not required; we’ll train the right person).
- Strong communication skills (phone, email, in-person).
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to help others.
- A sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
Location & Schedule
Cheraw, SC (in-office position) • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
