Job summary

Tressler LLP in San Francisco seeks a Litigation Associate to join our Insurance Services and Litigation Groups. The ideal candidate has at least five years of insurance coverage and/or civil litigation experience and will work closely with partners and clients on complex matters.

Responsibilities include analyzing policies, drafting opinions and briefs, managing all phases of litigation, and representing clients in state and federal court or arbitration.

Qualifications

• Active California bar license.
• 5 years of insurance coverage experience and/or civil litigation experience in state or federal court.
• Experience with trial preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret insurance policies and coverage issues.
• Draft coverage opinions, memoranda and briefs; advise clients on coverage.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on coverage and litigation.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions and trial.
• Represent clients in state and federal court and in binding arbitration.
• Prepare comprehensive written reports to carriers or self-insured clients.
• Attend court hearings and oral arguments, remotely or in person.
• Coordinate with senior attorneys and clients to develop cases.
