• The role analyzes insurance coverage and prepares coverage opinions for first party property and general liability matters.
• Litigation work includes depositions, court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions.
• The Insurance Coverage Practice interprets contracts and represents insurers in complex coverage claims, including monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief.
• The practice represents primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, TPAs, MGAs, brokers/agents, and independent adjusters.
• Candidates with substantive litigation experience and an interest in insurance law are encouraged to apply, even without prior insurance law experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance coverage and prepare coverage opinions for property and GL matters.
• Engage in litigation tasks: take depositions, attend court hearings, draft and argue motions.
• Interpret contracts and represent insurers in complex coverage claims and related proceedings.
• Collaborate with insurers, reinsurers, TPAs, MGAs, brokers/agents, and independent adjusters.
