Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join our Dallas practice. This role offers a hybrid schedule, three days in the Dallas office and two remote days, and opportunities to work directly with experienced attorneys on complex insurance coverage matters.

Candidates must hold an active Texas Bar license and have at least one year of relevant defense experience. You will analyze policies, draft opinions, and manage litigation steps, with mentorship and clear growth

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of relevant insurance coverage defense experience.
• Experience analyzing insurance policies and preparing coverage opinions or reservation of rights letters.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Insurance coverage litigation experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and case management skills.
• Interest in developing a long‑term career in insurance coverage law.

Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial and personal lines insurance policies and advise insurers on coverage issues.
• Draft insurance coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and other coverage-related correspondence.
• Handle declaratory judgment actions, insurance coverage disputes, and first-party insurance litigation.
• Conduct legal research, prepare persuasive motions, and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Communicate directly with insurance carriers, claims professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Manage case responsibilities, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to successful client outcomes.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
