Hiscox USA seeks a Legal Counsel to provide day-to-day legal support to the US business unit, partnering with stakeholders across underwriting, claims and operations. The role is based in Atlanta, Chicago, or Manhattan.

The team operates under Hiscox values and a collaborative culture to advance the business legally and compliantly. You will draft and review policy wordings, endorsements, TOBAs, and regulatory submissions, while advising on product strategies and compliance matters for

Qualifications

• 4+ years of law firm or in-house insurance industry experience in the property & casualty space.
• Understanding of P&C insurance products including cyber, D&O, E&O & GL.
• Experience with policy wordings, coverage and regulatory approval processes.
• Commercial contract negotiation experience.

Responsabilités

• Draft and review policy wordings and endorsements with clear language.
• Coordinate with state filings and regulators on submissions and inquiries.
• Support product/wordings updates and advise on regulatory trends.
• Draft and review services and distribution agreements such as TOBAs.
• Handle consumer complaints and regulator information requests.
• Advise on regulatory requirements affecting distribution, licensing, marketing.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance and control functions on projects.
