Job Title: Insurance Coordinator/Front Desk
Location: Port Clinton, Ohio


Job Description: The Insurance Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating insurance-related tasks to ensure efficient and accurate billing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental insurance policies, claims processing, and customer service. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patients' insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.
  • Submit and process dental insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient insurance records in the practice management software.
  • Assist patients with insurance-related questions and concerns.
  • Coordinate pre-authorizations and referrals as needed.
  • Stay informed about changes in dental insurance policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Insurance Billing and Code Processing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, procedures, and coding (CPT, ICD-10, and ADA codes).
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software and electronic claims submission.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
