Job summary

MFA Incorporated is seeking a property/casualty insurance specialist to manage coverage procurement, claims coordination, and related accounting tasks. You will work with brokers, assess renewal proposals, and provide guidance to leadership on financial and legal implications of insurance decisions.

The role involves partnering with the agronomy and store teams to resolve liability issues with MFA farmers and customers in a timely manner, while ensuring timely premium payments and adherence to

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in business related studies or equivalent experience.
• 3 or more years in insurance, finance, or accounting fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the negotiation and procurement of all property/casualty insurance coverage.
• Coordinate and monitor processes related to property/casualty claims activity, including payment of insurance claims and premiums.
• Prepare accounting allocations for insurance premiums and claims costs, and reconcile insurance-related GL accounts.
• Coordinate with MFA’s insurance broker to assist with policy renewal processes for all corporate property and casualty policies.
• Evaluate proposals from brokers/carriers to determine premiums, deductibles, and coverages.
• Provide reports and advice to upper management on insurance matters, including financial and legal implications of renewals and settlements.
