Our client, one of the largest and fastest growing independent insurance agencies in the United States, is looking for a Compliance Specialist to join their growing team.

This individual will assist in coordinating and administering all aspects of filings with the National Association of Insurance Commission (NAIC) and state insurance departments.

JOB DUTIES

• Compile all required information and disseminating/communicating necessary information
• Analyze and respond to objections and inquiries from state regulatory authorities
• Refer more complex matters to appropriate parties
• Assist with researching, documenting, and communicating routine compliance-related issues
• Assist with administering privacy, anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, and other guidelines
• Maintain and retrieve material from departmental databases and files
• Review pertinent insurance publications to determine impact on liability
• Administer compliance training programs and ensure compliance with the laws, rules, and regulations of federal, state, and self-regulatory organizations
• Assist with mergers and acquisitions

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience
• Between 6 months and 3 years’ experience
• Beginning coursework toward certification in area of expertise such as FLMI, AIRC, CCP, and ACP is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be computer savvy including MS Office Suite
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with time constraints
• Self-directed and detail-oriented
• Must be able to work both independently and as a team
