Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Billing in Medical Office / Hospital experience (1-2 years) and CPT/ICD-10 knowledge.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and health plan processes.
• CMRS/CMIS certifications preferred.
• Ability to follow DoFR guidelines and resolve denials.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding insurance claims within EPIC Work Queues.
• Address claim denials, rebills, corrections, and appeals promptly.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all claims and collections activities.
• Communicate with insurance companies and providers to resolve payment issues.
• Notify supervisor of problems related to payments/denials and assist in resolution.
• Maintain spreadsheets and support process improvements with leadership.
• Meet daily A/R target of 35-40 claims on average.
