Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Insurance Business Head to lead our North American Insurance vertical . This role will involve building relationships with insurers, negotiating contracts, and strategizing to establish United We Care as a trusted partner for insurance providers. The Insurance Business Head will play a crucial role in ensuring our mental health services are accessible to insured clients across North America by integrating our offerings into insurance networks.

Key Responsibilities :

• Business Development and Strategy : Lead the strategy for expanding United We Care’s partnerships with insurers, health plans, and other relevant stakeholders across North America.
• Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, brokers, and industry stakeholders to drive growth.
• Contract Negotiation : Lead negotiations with insurance providers to create agreements that bring value to both parties and support the integration of United We Care’s services into insurance plans.
• Market Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis of the North American insurance landscape, including trends, competitor analysis, and identification of new opportunities to drive growth.
• Product Offering Alignment : Collaborate with product and operations teams to align our mental health services with insurance requirements, tailoring offerings to meet market needs.
• Brand Advocacy : Represent United We Care at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance brand visibility and credibility within the insurance space.

Requirements :

• Experience : Minimum of 8 years of experience in the insurance industry, including substantial experience with health insurance or employee benefits in North America. Prior experience in mental health or wellness services is highly desirable.
• Proven Track Record : Strong track record of successful business development and negotiation with major insurers and health plans in North America.
• Industry Knowledge : Deep understanding of the North American insurance landscape, including payer systems, insurance products, and reimbursement models.
• Strategic Thinking : Ability to develop and execute strategies that align with both company goals and insurer needs, identifying and creating opportunities for partnership growth.
• Communication and Negotiation Skills : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders effectively. Proven negotiation skills are a must.
• Leadership : Proven experience in leading business initiatives and driving growth in a startup or rapidly scaling environment.
• Flexibility and Adaptability : Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with an emphasis on results and impact.
