Job summary

The Doctors Clinic is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative III – Insurance Billing to maintain high-level customer service in patient accounts, focusing on billing, collections, and adjustments. You will coordinate with insurance providers and internal teams to ensure accurate submissions.

Responsibilities include auditing claims before submission, following up on payments, filing appeals, and monitoring aging to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPC certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in customer service.
• Minimum 2 years experience in medical billing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure billing aligns with clinic procedures and standards.
• Audit claims before submission and correct missing data.
• Maintain knowledge of contracted health plans and respond to complex questions.
• Follow up with insurance companies to ensure payment of claims.
• File appeals for denied or underpaid claims and re-file claims with supporting docs.
• Monitor aging and ensure timely payments; take corrective action as needed.
