Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in Alabama seeks an Insurance Follow-up and Billing Specialist to ensure efficient payment processing and timely claims resolution. You will post payments, analyze denials, and collaborate with payers across multiple systems in a busy outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of medical billing experience, strong math and communication skills, and a solid understanding of CPT/ICD-10 terminology as well as Medicare/Medicaid processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of medical billing collection experience.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, UB, HCFA, and 835 terminologies.
• Excellent math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, and commercial carriers.

Responsibilities

• Post patient payments and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Process billing office reports and work with payers to resolve denials.
• Identify and resolve issues preventing claim resolution.
• Utilize multiple systems to submit and correct claims.
• This position does not have direct patient contact; office-based work.
