Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an Insurance Billing Specialist to perform follow-up on insurance billing and collections, verify records, and expedite payments for physician services.
This role is primarily remote with one in-person monthly visit to Saint Louis, MO. Responsibilities include reviewing accounts, using Epic EHR and payer portals for claim submissions and status, and ensuring timely resolution while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Performs follow-up on insurance billing and collection activities, verifying the accuracy and completeness of insurance records, and claims, contacting insurance companies as well as other related duties to expedite payments from various payers for physician services. This role is primarily remote with the exception of coming into the office at least once a month (Saint Louis, Metro area).
