Pave Talent is excited to partner with our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing independent insurance brokerage, to find their next Associate Producer. Based in California, our client is an independently owned, family-style firm built on warm referrals and a culture of trust, independence, and client-first advocacy. With captive carriers exiting the California market, our client is uniquely positioned to fill the gap, offering policies that these carriers can no longer provide.

Note on Remote Work & Licensing: This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the U.S. You must have or obtain a California Property & Casualty license within 90 days of hire. Licensing costs are covered, and if you’re in a state with a reciprocal agreement, transferring is simple—check your state’s eligibility.

What You’ll Do
- Close New Business: Lead discovery calls, present quotes, and consult on coverage to turn prospects into clients.
- Hand Off Seamlessly: Pass closed policies to Account Management for servicing—no ongoing maintenance for you.
- Track & Optimize: Manage your pipeline in the AMS/CRM, follow up on renewals, and identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Collaborate & Refine: Work with marketing and VAs to enhance lead qualification and boost your close rates.
- Hit Your Targets: Meet or exceed monthly premium goals and quality-of-business KPIs to unlock rewards.
What You Bring
- Experience: Two years of experience in insurance, particularly in an inside sales role.
- Captive Carrier Background: Experience at captive carriers like State Farm or Farmers is a perfect fit for transitioning to our client’s independent brokerage model.
- Licensing: Active (or in-process) Property & Casualty license—California license required within 90 days.
- Sales Skills: Strong phone presence, consultative approach, and a commitment to ethical client service.
- Drive: A proactive mindset with a hunger for hitting goals and streamlining processes.
What Our Client Offers
- Competitive Pay: Hourly base of $30–$32 to start; automatic raise to $32/hr at $250k in written premium.
- Production Commission: Earn $5 per closed, qualified lead; increases to $10 at $720k cumulative premium.
- On-Target Earnings (OTE):
- First full year: $80k–$100k (inclusive of base pay, commission, and bonuses)
- By year three: $200k–$300k with strong performance
- Quarterly Bonuses: Eligible for quarterly performance bonuses of up to 5% of your base salary each quarter, tied to individual and team performance metrics, which could accumulate to up to 20% annually, paid out quarterly.
