  • Research and resolve insurance-related exceptions, including correspondence and calls.
  • Process insurance refunds and document according to procedures.
  • Track claim status with carriers and ensure proper proceeds are applied.

Job description

Perform daily insurance servicing functions within the MSP (Black Knight), including monitoring insurance coverage, updating policy information, and addressing insurance-related exceptions to maintain accurate loan records.

  • Conduct monthly reviews of lender-placed insurance (LPI) billing to ensure accuracy, proper application to borrower accounts, and compliance with investor and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and send mortgagee clause change notification letters to insurance carriers and agencies to ensure servicing information is properly reflected on borrower insurance policies.
  • Complete monthly Servicing Quality Assurance (QA) audit reviews to verify compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide oversight and coordination with the insurance vendor (Proctor), including monitoring vendor performance, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring service-level expectations are met.
  • Manage insurance-related exceptions by researching discrepancies, coordinating with internal teams and external parties, and ensuring timely resolution. This includes written correspondence and telecommunications.
  • Process and monitor insurance refunds, ensuring accurate application to borrower accounts and proper documentation in accordance with servicing procedures.
  • Track claim status and follow up with insurance carriers to ensure timely payment and proper application of insurance proceeds for any in-house claims.
  • Provide oversight of insurance loss claims managed by the vendor (Proctor).

Preferences

Work Requirements

Each employee must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, maintain a work schedule, and effectively perform in an office setting. To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space. (i.e. branch or corporate office location). Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
