Sztapka Region - Modern Woodmen of America is seeking an Insurance Agent in Iowa with a competitive drive to help families achieve financial security. The role emphasizes client consultations, relationship building, and ongoing professional development within a supportive team.

The position offers a commission-based earning model, flexible schedule, and opportunities for advancement as we expand our regional presence and support communities across the Midwest.

Qualifications

  • Team-Oriented and enthusiastic teammate with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to obtain State Insurance License and pursue ongoing development.
  • College degree preferred but not required; strong communication and community focus.

Responsibilities

  • Member Consultation: Meet with client members to assess their insurance needs and recommend coverage.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service and resolve inquiries promptly.
  • Networking: Build and maintain a network of client members through referrals and events.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current.
  • Target Achievement: Meet or exceed business development goals.

Nick Sztapka

is a Managing Partner who joined Modern Woodmen in 2018 at the age of 23. He previously worked as an account specialist for a major tool manufacturer before finding his calling in financial services. Nick is married and a proud father. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending quality time with friends and family around bonfires. Traveling and making lasting memories with loved ones are some of his favorite pastimes.

Lynn Walstad

has been a Financial Advisor with Modern Woodmen since 2008, starting his career at age 30. Before joining MWA, he worked in commercial window construction, traveling across a four-state area and spending most of his days outdoors. A proud father of five, Lynn stays busy with his children’s activities and helps run a family pheasant hunting business in the fall.

Adam Gress

became a Financial Advisor with Modern Woodmen in 2024 at the age of 41. He came from a background in education as a middle school teacher and high school athletic coach, driven by a passion for serving others. Adam was drawn to MWA’s fraternal mission and its impact on communities. Outside the office, he runs a wrestling academy in Northwest Iowa and stays active with his three kids through sports, club activities, and church involvement.

Sarah May

has been a Financial Advisor with Modern Woodmen since 2006, starting at the age of 28. She was drawn to the organization for its flexibility, which allowed her to thrive as a single mom while building a rewarding career. Today, Sarah continues to value MWA for its income potential, benefits, and the family atmosphere it fosters. She’s passionate about her grandchildren, gardening, reading, volunteering at schools, and caring for her pets.

Role Responsibilities:
