Job summary

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent to help educators access affordable insurance and financial solutions. You will build relationships, present products, and manage an exclusive territory with support from technology and training.

This role offers a performance-based compensation plan with incentives for the first 48 months and a dedicated service representative to handle client service work, enabling you to focus on growing your business in a niche market.

Qualifications

• Active Life and Health license in your resident state.
• Property and Casualty license held or pursued.
• FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (if applicable in your region).
• 2–5 years of experience in insurance/financial services.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build relationships with educators to provide affordable insurance solutions.
• Present products to groups and individuals and close new business.
• Develop and manage an exclusive territory to grow revenue.
• Engage in networking, events, and community activities to expand the book of business.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong interpersonal and business management skills to build and manage your agency
• 2-5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred)
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses:
  • Life and Health Insurance License
  • Property and Casualty Insurance License
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (if applicable in your region)
