Job summary

Horace Mann seeks an Exclusive Agent to build and manage an independent agency with an exclusive territory across Texas. You will drive sales of a comprehensive multiline product portfolio, leverage market access, and build relationships with educators and groups.

In this role, you will work as a 1099 contractor with performance incentives, quarterly bonuses, and dedicated support to grow your business while benefiting from Horace Mann’s tech tools and training.

Qualifications

• Must have Life and Health Insurance License and Property and Casualty License.
• Experience in the insurance and financial services industry preferred (2–5 years).
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 if applicable in the region.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure an exclusive agency niche within a defined territory.
• Present insurance and financial products to educators and groups.
• Network, build relationships, and participate in industry events.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong interpersonal and business management skills to build and manage your agency
• 2-5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred)
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses:

• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (if applicable in your region)
