Job summary

Horace Mann seeks an Exclusive Agent to empower educators with tailored insurance and financial solutions. This 1099 role emphasizes independence, a strong pipeline, and growing your agency across a dedicated territory.

You’ll be supported by a Premier Service Representative, have access to a comprehensive product portfolio, and participate in market-building programs designed to expand your network and income. Training and technology tools help you succeed and grow long-term.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and business management skills required.
• Experience in the insurance/financial services industry preferred (2–5 years).
• Licenses in Life & Health, Property & Casualty insurance are required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Present products to groups and individuals to drive sales and relationships.
• Build and manage your agency through networking, community and industry events.
• Utilize Horace Mann’s resources and programs to grow your niche market and client base.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong interpersonal and business management skills to build and manage your agency
• 2-5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred)
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses:
• Life and Health Insurance License
• Property and Casualty Insurance License
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (if applicable in your region)
