Farmers Insurance District Forty Nine is looking for entrepreneurial Agency Owners to build and operate a multi-line insurance agency. You'll leverage your experience in leadership and sales to recruit a team while benefiting from extensive training and support.
This independent contractor role requires substantial investment and offers significant earnings potential, backed by the Farmers brand. Candidates should have strong business acumen and a commitment to long-term growth.
Farmers Insurance District 49 is recruiting the next group of Agency Owners under the enhanced Retail Program, effective July 2026. This role is suited for entrepreneurs, current or former business owners, sales leaders, and experienced professionals who are ready to build and operate their own multi-line insurance agency under the Farmers brand.
As an Agency Owner, you are an independent business owner — not an employee. You'll build equity in a contract with a sellable book of business, lead your own team, and shape your own growth trajectory, with the training, products, and support of a nationally recognized carrier behind you.
The July 2026 Retail Program is one of the strongest new-agent structures Farmers has offered to date:
Strong candidates typically come from one of the following backgrounds:
Candidates who do not meet the standard capital requirement may still qualify through one of two alternative paths:
Candidates with strong sales or leadership backgrounds who are not yet capitalized are encouraged to apply.
District 49 offers structured onboarding and ongoing support that goes beyond the national contract:
Building a successful agency is a multi-year commitment. The Retail Program is designed to support income during the first three years while owners focus on establishing production, staffing, and operations. Candidates who succeed in this role treat agency ownership as a long-term business investment rather than a short-term opportunity.
Interested candidates are invited to send a brief message outlining their professional background, their reason for considering agency ownership, and their current Central Texas market. Initial conversations are confidential and approximately 30 minutes.
