Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union is seeking an Insurance Specialist to provide consultative guidance and grow the delivery of insurance services across SECU locations. The role covers auto, home, life and annuities, acting as an experienced agent in the designated territory to meet member financial planning needs.

The Insurance Specialist I collaborates with other specialists, uses marketing campaigns, leads, and branch visits to sustain productivity benchmarks and builds strong referral networks

Qualifications

• 2 years of insurance sales and service experience or related financial services experience.
• Must possess active North Carolina Life and Personal Lines or Property & Casualty licenses and satisfy all continuing education requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance industry and responsibilities to the policyholders.
• Substantial experience working within an Agency Management System.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers, specialists and members and facilitate effective dialogue.

Responsibilities

• Deliver life and personal lines insurance and annuities to members.
• Utilize SECU technology, campaigns, lead platforms, and branch visits to meet productivity benchmarks.
• Coordinate with other specialists to assist with complex scenarios and ensure holistic member needs.
• Assess member needs and deliver insurance solutions per established systems and carrier requirements.
• Act as a trusted insurance resource by advising on best practices and providing feedback to leadership.
• Build referral networks across business lines to meet member insurance needs.
