Job summary

State Farm in Belle Fourche, SD seeks a driven Sales Agent to sell competitive Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life Insurance. This is a relationship-based role with real opportunities to grow income and career.

You’ll cover the western part of South Dakota and adjacent states, servicing new and existing customers and building long-term coverage relationships.

Independent work with structured process, training support, and leadership collaboration to drive sales.

Qualifications

• Sales experience preferred (insurance or other industries).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, coachable, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to learn products, pricing, and underwriting processes.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Active insurance license preferred (or ability to obtain).
• P&C and/or Life licensing requirements will be discussed during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate leads through a mix of outreach and provided opportunities.
• Quote, sell, and retain P&C products (auto, home, commercial as available).
• Quote, sell, and support Life products (term, whole/universal as offered).
• Provide clear coverage guidance and review policies to ensure customer fit.
• Build strong customer relationships and follow through with ongoing service needs.
• Work independently with a structured process and reporting cadence.
• Collaborate with leadership for training, marketing support, and sales strategy.
