Job summary

National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) is seeking an Insurance A/R Specialist for the FL Regional Office in Panama City, FL. You will work under the Billing Manager to ensure timely collection of homecare accounts receivable from Medicare, managed care, and commercial insurance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in third-party healthcare billing, strong communication and investigative skills, and a detail-oriented approach to resolving denials and patient balances.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of third-party healthcare billing experience, preferably in home health care.
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party insurance guidelines.
• Strong communication, organizational, and attention to detail.
• Investigative mindset to resolve issues and denials.
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Work outstanding Aged Accounts Reports.
• Maintain files on accounts requiring follow up until resolved.
• Review claims denials; submit corrected claims and/or follow up appeals.
• Assist patients in understanding balances after insurance processing.
• Be a resource for staff regarding insurance requirements.
• Communicate with homecare offices for claim and collection follow up.
• Other duties as assigned.
