Job summary

Avail Staffing Company is seeking skilled Marine Insulators to join our crew and help build and maintain vessels. The role emphasizes teamwork, pride in craftsmanship, and dedication to quality insulation work on piping, machinery, and systems.

You will read blueprints, apply materials such as rubber, fiberglass, and calcium silicate, and install customized insulation solutions while adapting to early hours, nights, weekends, and weather conditions as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on marine insulation work.
• Experience with various insulation materials and their applications.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather, early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Apply insulation and coverings to piping, machinery, and systems for water, AC, refrigeration, and steam machinery.
• Insulate bulkheads and overheads using insulation materials and accessories.
• Read and interpret blueprints to execute projects with precision.
• Use hand tools and equipment (knives, cutters, saws, tape measures, stud guns) effectively.
• Design and install customized insulation systems for specific applications.
• Apply lagging cloth with accuracy and craftsmanship.

What You'll Do as Part of Our Crew:
As a Marine Insulator, you will:

• Applyinsulation and coverings to piping, machinery, and systems for water, AC,refrigeration, and steam machinery.
• Insulatebulkheads and overheads using rubber, fiberglass hullboard, fiberglasspipe sections, calcium silicate, fiberglass tape/cloth, adhesives, andTempmatt.
• Readand interpret blueprints to execute projects with precision.
• Utilizehand tools and equipment, such as knives, wire cutters, saws, tapemeasures, band saws, and stud guns, effectively.
• Designand install customized insulation systems tailored to specificapplications.
• Applylagging cloth with accuracy and craftsmanship.
